On 19th and 20th November this year, the Central Coast will enjoy its very first Central Coast Edible Garden Trail.
The Central Coast Edible Garden Trail is a self-guided weekend event where ticket holders will have access to a diverse range of productive private and community gardens on the NSW Central Coast.
The Edible Garden Trail celebrates the many ways permaculture gardeners on the Central Coast are creating food security, building personal and community resilience, regenerating soils and converting waste into precious resources - all while enjoying the health benefits of home grown produce and taking meaningful action towards reducing food miles and plastics use.
Our green thumb garden hosts will be showcasing their successes and sharing problem solving solutions with visitors who want to learn more.
There with be a huge variety of gardens including: backyard, acreage, courtyard, verge, community, laneway, wheelchair accessible, enclosed, balcony, market, Indigenous gardens and more!
If you're interested to know more about permaculture, many of our gardens have been designed using permaculture principles and systems. Visitors can observe and learn about:
- Food forests
- Indigenous foods and cultural practices
