Join Amanda Collins and Scott Denno in their permaculture inspired food garden in Central Ballarat.
It's been a 7 year labour of love for the couple who remagined their 1/4 acre urban property from traditional 1980's style lawn and ornamentals to productive patch complete with chooks and honeybees.
The edible food garden includes raised DIY wicking beds, trellising, dwarf fruit trees, greenhouse, chookery and micro apiary from where they also teach beekeeping during Spring and Summer.
Front garden features, productive verge garden and an establishing espaliered fruit tree fence with apples, plums and apricots. Their front lawn was rewilded from traditional lawn and weeping cherry to pollinator and wildlife friendly habitat 3 years ago.
