The farmers and other stallholders include many from urban Melbourne and the peri-urban fringe. Approximately 40% of stallholders come from the local municipality (Nillumbik) or those directly adjoining. On the 4th Sunday of each month the market hosts a food swap where locals can exchange their excess home produce and on occasions the market also hosts community stalls.
