Come and take a peek at the Plummery on this guided tour with Kat Lavers. ‘The Plummery’ is a 1/14th acre (280m2) urban permaculture system in Naarm/Melbourne. In 2020, the garden produced 451kg of herbs, vegies, fruit and eggs with about 4 hours management each week! The site features year round, diverse fruit and vegetable production using techniques to minimise effort and inputs, Japanese quail (aka 'mini chickens' ;) in a low maintenance deep litter aviary, a light earth studio, and an older house with many retrofits for comfort and sustainability.
The Plummery has been featured on Gardening Australia, Happen Films and in RetroSuburbia.
