Food Is Free Inc. Green Team is a great opportunity to give back to community whilst learning new skills in gardening and self-sufficiency whilst meeting new people.
We meet 10am - noon second Saturday of every month at our Food Is Free Green Space, which has over 40 garden beds. This is a space dedicated to helping feed and educate Ballarat citizens and is open 24 hrs a day every day for anyone to help themselves to fresh produce we grow, and also donations of backyard veg, fruit & herbs from Ballarat gardeners.
Food Is Free events are always led by very welcoming volunteers, all inclusive and loads of fun. We love teaching people how to grow food, and staying true to our mission of everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food.
Food Is Free Inc. has been in operation for 9 years.
