This workshop will include the core principles of organic gardening including soil building, plant selection, pest and disease management and garden maintenance. You'll learn how to build and manage good organic soil, comprehend plants' needs, and integrate them into a space to develop a successful environmentally friendly garden.

There will be a practical element to the workshop that includes propagating from seed and cuttings and you'll get the chance to explore the Marrickville West community garden including its composting systems.
