Onslow Community Garden is a large, multi-functional community garden located within the centre of Onslow in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.
The Shire of Ashburton project incorporates productive gardens, including vegetable beds and tropical food forests, a nursery facility and an outdoor kitchen for functions and cooking classes. The project has been established to develop community skills in food production and organic gardening while providing a focal point for community gatherings and cultural celebration. It is recognised as a benchmark for remote community projects and has gained wide acclaim both regionally and nationally for its design and level of community involvement.
Role of Josh Byrne & Associates (JBA): Concept design, details design and documentation, project costing and project management and support.
