Many people say that they can’t grow vegies through the heat and wet of our Brisbane summers. Usually, this is because they try to keep growing the traditional varieties that only grow well in the cooler, drier part of the year.
However, there are many delicious food plants that are well adapted to the warmer and wetter part of the year in SEQ! This workshop will help you select them and provide tips on propagating, planting, caring for, and harvesting them.
You'll also be provided with a recipe sheet for preparing and cooking some of the veggies you might not be so familiar with, so you can have your cake (or cassava!) and eat it too!
