We welcome you to visit and tour Down’s Community Farm (DCF).

Come join local urban farmers at your community farm and hear about our community garden and vege patch allotments, learn how to make a hot compost and join in on our big potato planting session. Stay and be part of the working bee or sign up for the next one. Be part of growing a healthy future in your community.

The tours will be at various times during 10am-12pm. Sign up on the day, at the information table.

As part of Growing Edible Towns and Cities: celebrating and raising awareness of Australia’s urban agricultural movement in 2022, Down’s Community Farm (DCF) focuses on the combined value of gardening tools, gardeners, food growers, and the hands-on skills and wellbeing of growing, cooking and sharing food together as a connected and healthy community.

DCF’s 2022 Urban Ag Month celebration will also include the weekly working bee and pop-up workshops in the spirit of zero-waste and circular economy (repair, recycle, reuse, reduce) when we will show and share, how to maintain and repair tools, cook healthy food meals, and host the Frankston food swap, all at Down’s Community Farm.
Please message us with any questions.
